Position summary:

As the Head of Communications, Global Health, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering strategic communications that support GSK’s mission to unite science, technology, and talent to get ahead of disease together. Collaborating across teams, you will help amplify GSK’s global health initiatives, ensuring our work resonates with diverse audiences and contributes to reducing health inequities. Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategic communications plan to support GSK’s global health priorities.
  • Create compelling content that highlights GSK’s impact in global health, ensuring alignment with the company’s mission and values and focus on being a responsible business.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including NGOs, government agencies, and media outlets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels.
  • Monitor and respond to emerging global health issues, ensuring timely and effective communication strategies.
  • Represent GSK at external events, sharing our vision and impact in global health.

Basic Qualifications:

We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public health, international relations, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in strategic communications, public relations, or advocacy.
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences.
  • Experience working in global health, public health, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships with stakeholders across different sectors.
  • Proficiency in digital communication tools and platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in communications, public health, or a related field.
  • Experience in a global organization or working across multiple geographies.

  • Confidence in providing strategic counsel to senior leaders.
