Job Responsibilities

  • Use sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions.
  • Work independently, with guidance only in the most complex situations.
  • Lead others to solve complex problems.
  • Lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.
  • Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes, or services.
  • Impact the achievement of customer, operational, project, or service objectives guided by functional policies.
  • Promote personal accountability for Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) by adhering to HMH’s HSSE governing policy.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college; or a high school diploma/GED with at least nine years of relevant experience.
  • Experience: Minimum five years of professional‑level experience in a relevant field.

Skills & Abilities

  • Specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in own discipline or field.
  • Ability to communicate difficult concepts and negotiate with others to adopt a different point of view.
  • Strong problem‑solving and risk‑management skills.
