Assistant Store Manager

About The Role

You will work with the Store Manager, sharing joint responsibility for the day-to-day running of the store. The role involves up to 45 hours per week, with all extra time paid or taken as time off in lieu. You will co‑manage a small team of 4–6 staff, lead by example, and motivate the team to deliver a great customer experience while achieving challenging sales targets.

What You\’ll Be Doing

• Share joint responsibility for the day-to-day running of the store with the Store Manager.
• Work up to 45 hours per week, with extra time paid or taken as time off in lieu.
• Lead by example and co‑manage a small team of 4–6 members.
• Motivate the team to deliver a great customer experience and achieve challenging sales targets.
• Build rapport with customers, exceeding expectations and reassuring them when they’re bewildered by choice.

What You\’ll Need – Skills and Experience

• Proven experience in a retail customer-service-orientated or sales environment.
• Supervisory or junior management experience within a retail or field sales position, ideally in a hard‑goods environment.
• Practical experience/knowledge of some or all of our product range.
• Proven ability to sell some or all of our product range.
• Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service to all customers.
• Proven experience in achieving sales targets.
• A confident, enthusiastic team player.
• Accuracy, numeracy and basic computer literacy.
• High degree of self‑motivation and a can‑do attitude.
• A desire to succeed individually and as co‑leader of the team.
