The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) is one of the world’s leading public health universities. Research Fellow will support the delivery of epidemiological research on evaluating the impact of the Good School Toolkit (GST) Agile at scale with the Child Protection Research Group. The post will mainly relate to the grant funded by the Oak Foundation. This role will involve liaising with partners, participation in consortium meetings, oversight of fieldwork, quantitative data preparation and analysis, writing for academic publication, and supporting partners to collect data. The role is based in Uganda.
The successful candidate will have a postgraduate degree, ideally a doctoral degree, in the field of public health, psychology, science or other related discipline. Proven experience in quantitative survey data collection, design or analysis, analytical skills in evidence synthesis, basic quantitative or qualitative analysis. As well as evidence of good organisational skills, including effective time.
The post is full-time, 35 hours per week, 1.0 FTE and fixed-term until 31 August 2029. The post is funded by the Oak Foundation and is available from 01 October 2026.
The salary will be on the LSHTM salary scale, Grade 6 in the range £45,728 - £51,872 per annum pro rata (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary "Wellbeing Days". Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in Uganda.
