We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager to join 1000 Mile Travel UK, a leading global host agency, and a brand of CTM. The role is hybrid, 1 day per week in our central London office (EC4) and is compensated with a salary and a commission. You will learn more details if you are selected and progress in the process.
This role will be integral to the growth of the 1000MTG business overseeing corporate business sales, supported by the 1000MTG/CTM technology suite and global airline and hotel content. The role provides the opportunity to be part of a growing business and covers all sales aspects, supporting implementation and maintaining relationships with those clients.
Your ultimate focus will be to drive sales growth, and customer retention, nurturing success for both clients and our network of independent contractors, more affectionately known as Travel Experts.

Responsibilities and Duties
• Responsible for generating new business through the implementation of a territory plan including prospecting, cold calling, qualifying, proposal development and presentation, negotiating, and closing the account.
• Scope or opportunities includes all of UK
• Ability to drive value in a medium to long sales cycle, as well as non-RFP opportunities with quick decision timeframes.
• Able to develop and articulate 1000 MTG’s value proposition for potential customers.
• Ability to develop relationships with travel advisors as well as within a small to mid-sized organizations.
• Manage and develop the pipeline to meet the quota established by the General Manager
• Maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions, industry changes, and competitive positioning to be shared with the 1000 MTG team and leadership.
• Build and maintain key travel industry relationships.
• Represent the organization at local and regional business travel industry events as required and, most importantly, achieve your annual sales targets!
Education and Experience
• 3 years of work experience in B2B sales with proven ability to meet or exceed quota.
• Demonstrated prior success in selling corporate travel is preferred.
• Experience in consultative, solution-based selling.
• Strong financial and business acumen.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a virtual team.

• Proven successful track record in sales within the travel industry.
• Understanding the needs of Travel Experts and small to mid-sized customers value in today\’s market.

• Working knowledge of agency operations to look credible in front of clients and internal operational teams.
• Ability to work independently, developing action plans and implementing goals and objectives.
