We are looking for an experienced immigration lawyer to manage a varied and demanding caseload for a broad range of private clients, corporations, SMEs, high‑net‑worth individuals and family offices within the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Client ownership and advisory work – building and maintaining relationships and providing strategic immigration advice.
- Case management and technical delivery – handle a large and varied caseload including Global Talent, Skilled Worker, ILR & naturalisation, family migration, visit visas, administrative reviews and immigration appeals.
- Drafting, reviewing and submitting high‑quality visa applications and representations.
- Casework methodology – maintain organised case files, implement a disciplined structured progression and use firm case‑management software.
- Team leadership and supervision – mentor junior colleagues, review work and support their development.
- Financial and firm responsibilities – prepare files for billing, manage WIP and contribute to accurate billing and reporting.
- Contribute to business development and firm‑wide initiatives.
Qualifications
- UK‑qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with substantive UK immigration experience, including a strong private‑client element.
- Demonstrated ability to manage matters independently and maintain high standards in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
- Strong technical competence, sound judgement and confidence to take responsibility for decisions.
- Excellent organisational skills and a precise understanding of the status of each matter.
- Clear, professional communication skills in client‑facing situations.
- Experience building trusted client relationships and acting as a proactive point of contact.
- Capability to collaborate with the wider team while working autonomously.
- Adaptability, resilience and a solutions‑focused approach under pressure.
- Strong commercial awareness, including billing and WIP management.
- Experience supporting and developing junior colleagues.
- Professionalism, discretion and integrity.
- Self‑motivated and solutions‑driven attitude.
