You’ll be working in a true engineering environment, maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy workshop machinery. This role goes beyond routine line maintenance and offers real mechanical challenges, with a mix of reactive breakdowns and planned maintenance that keeps each day varied and engaging.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair heavy mechanical equipment
- Work on machinery such as lathes, milling machines and presses
- Fault find on gearboxes, bearings, shafts and drive systems
- Support hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Carry out preventive maintenance (PPMs) and respond to breakdowns
- Perform basic electrical fault finding where required
- Support small improvement projects across the workshop

- Experience in a workshop or heavy engineering environment
- Strong problem‑solving mindset and attention to detail
- A reliable team player who can also work independently
