Materials Planner – Permanent Days Role

Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 DOE

Must Haves:

  • Experience working within a Materials Planning, Supply Chain or Inventory role
  • ERP system experience
  • Strong Excel and computer skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills

Hours: Monday – Friday: 08:00 – 16:00

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a proactive and organised Materials Planner to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Normanton. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in ensuring materials are available to support production requirements while maintaining optimum inventory levels. Working closely with production, procurement and logistics teams, you'll help drive operational efficiency and support continuous improvement across the supply chain function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining material plans aligned with production schedules and customer demand
  • Monitoring inventory levels to prevent shortages and minimise excess stock
  • Managing material requirements through ERP systems
  • Generating reports and analysing supply chain data using ERP and Excel
  • Coordinating with suppliers, production and logistics teams to ensure material availability
  • Maintaining accurate records of purchase orders, deliveries and inventory movements
  • Identifying potential supply chain bottlenecks and implementing corrective actions
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs
