A well-established engineering and fabrication company based in Bradford is looking to recruit an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join their skilled workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for an all-round fabricator looking for a long-term, stable position within a busy and supportive manufacturing environment.

The Role

As a Welder / Fabricator, you will be responsible for manufacturing a variety of bespoke and batch components, working from engineering drawings to fabricate and weld products to a high standard. This is a varied role that would suit someone who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in producing quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out MIG and TIG welding on a range of materials, including mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium
  • Fabricating components from engineering drawings
  • Measuring, marking out and assembling fabricated parts
  • Cutting, grinding and preparing materials for fabrication
  • Inspecting completed work to ensure it meets quality standards
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work area
  • Supporting the wider fabrication team where required

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience as a Welder / Fabricator within an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Competent in both MIG and TIG welding
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Strong fabrication skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable, motivated and committed to producing high-quality work

Working Hours

  • Monday: 7:30am – 4:00pm
  • Tuesday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
  • Wednesday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
  • Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
  • Friday: 7:30am – 2:30pm
  • Saturday & Sunday: Closed

Salary & Benefits

  • £18.00 - £21.00 per hour, depending on experience
