This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Wood Machinist with a joinery background who enjoys working with timber and producing high-quality components using a range of woodworking machinery. As a Wood Machinist, you'll be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of woodworking machines to manufacture timber components to specification. This role would suit a Wood Machinist who has experience within a joinery workshop and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating a range of woodworking machinery safely and efficiently
- Using saws, spindle moulders, tenoners, band saws, drills, presses and other woodworking equipment
- Manufacturing timber components to production drawings and job sheets
- Setting up machinery and carrying out routine machine adjustments
- Inspecting finished products to ensure excellent quality standards
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
Desirable Skills:
- Previous experience as a Wood Machinist or Bench Joiner
- Confident operating saws, spindle moulders, tenoners, band saws, drills and presses
- Ability to read technical drawings and job sheets
