Looking for a hands-on Welder who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and building something that lasts? This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in high-quality fabrication work and enjoys converting standard containers into bespoke, fully customised units.
What You’ll Be Doing
- MIG welding and fabricating steel components for container conversions
- Modifying, strengthening and assembling structural frames
- Cutting, grinding, prepping and finishing steel
- Installing doors, windows, partitions, brackets and internal fittings
- Working from engineering drawings to create accurate builds
- Using a range of hand tools and fabrication equipment
- Measuring, marking out and ensuring accurate fabrication
- Keeping the working area clean, safe and well-maintained
Skills & Experience
- Strong MIG welding experience (essential)
- Confident in fabrication and fitting
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience with cutting/grinding and structural steel work
- Good general workshop and fabrication knowledge
- Strong awareness of health & safety
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Experience with container conversions
- MMA (stick) welding experience
- Basic mechanical or fitting skills
- FLT or overhead crane licence
