Location: Huddersfield
Pay Rate: £13.50 – £14.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours:
- Monday – Thursday: 7:30am – 4:15pm
- Friday: 6:45am – 12:45pm
Overtime: Time and a third (currently averaging approx. 1.3 hours per day)

They provide a complete in-house service including design, CNC punching, laser cutting, CNC bending, welding and fabrication of ferrous and non-ferrous materials, powder coating, and electro-mechanical assembly. They supply customers nationwide across sectors such as Agricultural, Automotive, Construction, Digital Signage, Food Processing, Kiosk & Vending, Scientific, Medical, and more.
Role: Powder Coater / Paintline Operative
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the powder coating operation and ensuring high-quality finishes are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and preparation of metal components prior to coating, including bunging holes
- Following work instructions, procedures, and production schedules
- Maintaining required quality standards for all items through the coating process
- Maintaining powder coating equipment, including Gema spray guns and the automated reciprocator system
- Spraying a variety of components using Gema equipment
- Hanging parts on the conveyorised paint line in the most efficient manner
- Ensuring the work area is kept clean and tidy at all times
- Packing coated parts to ensure safe delivery to customers
- Safe use of basic power tools such as drills, orbital sanders, and grinders
Competencies & Experience:
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in powder coating
- Good understanding of powder coating methods and techniques
- Knowledge of safe use, storage, and disposal of paints, chemicals, and cleaning products
- Ability to use basic power tools safely and correctly
- Flexible approach to working overtime in line with business needs
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
