Salary: £28,000 – £34,000 per annum

Shifts: Permanent Nights OR Double Days

Permanent role – direct start with the employer

We’re recruiting for a Machine Operative to join an established manufacturing operation in Meltham. This is a great opportunity for someone with production or machine operating experience who enjoys hands-on work, quality checking and keeping machinery running efficiently.

Hours Choose from:

  • Double Days 6:00am – 2:00pm 2:00pm – 10:00pm Monday to Friday
  • Permanent Nights – £34,000 10:00pm – 6:00am Sunday to Thursday

Benefits:

Must Haves:

  • Production and/or machine operating experience would be beneficial

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating Stoll machinery in line with production plans and specifications
  • Producing products to agreed standards
  • Carrying out quality checks throughout production
  • Maintaining machines in line with standard working practices
  • Completing machine changeovers
  • Helping ensure machinery runs smoothly and efficiently
  • Attending daily meetings to support effective shift handovers
  • Completing required data input
  • Following quality, environmental and health & safety procedures

Essential Qualifications / Skills:

  • Previous production or Machine Operative experience would be beneficial, along with a practical, methodical approach.
  • An understanding of continuous improvement initiatives would also be advantageous.
