We are currently seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and detail-oriented Meeting & Events Bartender to support our Events Operations team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced luxury environment, takes pride in craftsmanship, and delivers elevated beverage experiences from pre-event set-up through to the final farewell.

About You…

• Passionate about hospitality with previous bartending experience in a similar role
• Knowledgeable in classic cocktails, spirits, wine, and beverage service standards
• Familiar with banquet and event operations
• A strong team player who is proactive, reliable, and detail-oriented
• Flexible and willing to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Key Responsibilities

Job Summary

To assist the Head of Events Operations and Supervisors in ensuring all beverage service requirements are met and that company standards are consistently achieved and maintained across quality, service, and operational excellence.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Support the smooth day-to-day running of the Events Operations department with a focus on beverage service excellence
• Assist with preparation and planning for upcoming events, including bar set-ups and stock requirements
• Set up, operate, and break down event bars in line with function sheets (BEOs) and 1 Hotel Mayfair standards
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently, consistently, and responsibly
• Ensure all bar areas are fully stocked, organised, and guest-ready prior to each event
• Act as a point of contact for banqueting guests during events, delivering attentive and personalised service
• Work closely with the Events Management team to ensure beverage service aligns with guest requirements and event specifications
• Supervise and support agency bar staff during assigned events
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of bar areas throughout service and ensure proper close-down procedures
• Monitor stock usage and report shortages, breakages, or discrepancies as required
• Report any accidents involving associates or agency staff to the First Aider on duty and ensure incident reports are completed
• Respond to additional requests from Events Management in the interest of guest satisfaction and company standards
• Maintain and uphold all departmental service standards, supporting training where required
• Attend hotel and departmental meetings when required

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience as a Bartender within a quality establishment, preferably within Meetings & Events or banqueting
• Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation
• Friendly, assertive, proactive, and professional personality
• Impeccable grooming and presentation standards
