We are now seeking a strategic, passionate, and relationship-driven Director of Middle East & Diplomatic Sales to lead one of our most critical markets. This is more than a sales role; it’s an opportunity to shape our brand presence across the Middle East and Diplomatic sectors while delivering memorable, high-impact luxury experiences.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for driving transient, group, and event revenue from Middle Eastern countries and diplomatic entities in the UK. This includes managing high-value agency partnerships, cultivating relationships with embassies, and ensuring our suites and long-stay experiences reach the right guests including Royal Families and high-net-worth individuals.

You’ll also act as a key brand ambassador for 1 Hotel Mayfair, representing us at tradeshows, hosting site visits, and creating strategic action plans aligned with our revenue goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Middle East Market
    • Lead and grow sales across the Middle East, focusing on agencies, wholesalers, direct guests, and elite clientele
    • Drive suite and signature suite bookings and support the long-stay strategy
    • Manage preferred rates and ensure accuracy in PMS and GDS systems
    • Work cross-functionally with Revenue, Reservations, and Front of House to deliver seamless luxury experiences
  • Diplomatic Market
    • Develop and manage relationships with Embassies, High Commissions, and government agencies
    • Support the Group & Events team with diplomatic event conversions and site inspections
    • Represent the hotel with professionalism, discretion, and cultural awareness
  • New Business & Strategy
    • Identify and convert new sales opportunities in assigned territories
    • Host familiarisation trips, deliver presentations, and entertain clients as needed
    • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and report sales performance monthly

About You:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior sales role within luxury hospitality
  • Proven success working with Middle Eastern and/or Diplomatic clients
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; fluent in English (Arabic is a bonus)
  • Hands-on, flexible, and confident with global travel requirements
  • Commercially minded with an eye for opportunity and detail
  • A passion for sustainability, culture, and personalised service
