TQM Senior Quality Engineer in Armitage

Shape & Create – And make it happen! The Villeroy & Boch Group with its Ideal Standard brand, is one of the world's leading manufacturers in the ceramics and lifestyle sector. We are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to join our DC team in Armitage. The successful applicant will support the Quality Manager and TQM team in the inspection, investigation and processing of all UK Products ensuring they meet specification and requirements. This role offers the opportunity to broaden your skill set and maintain a regular schedule without weekend or shift work, with occasional days out across the UK supporting our External Quality Technician.

• Random product inspection within the DC
• Inbound inspection of new product deliveries
• Processing customer returns
• Special select process for customer orders
• Assist in investigation, quarantine and rejection of stock received into UK1B
• Liaison with other TQM Quality teams across Europe, Cross Category Quality Leaders, and Research & Development departments to overcome any problems related to the finished product
• Review and implement quality improvement plans

• Experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably in ceramics, acrylics or similar products
• Knowledge of measurement and testing techniques
• Analytical reasoning and analytical skills
• Training provided to suitable candidates; the more exposure you’ve had to inspection and QA, the better
• Good written and verbal communication skills (English)

• Basic PC skills (E‑mail, Excel, PowerPoint)
