What we're looking for: We are seeking an enthusiastic and personable team player who will enjoy being the first point of contact at the spa. You must be presentable, professional, and upbeat. We are looking for someone who has the ability to work well under pressure, and also someone with an excellent telephone manner. You should have a high level of detail orientation to maintain the 5 bubble spa environment and ability to multitask duties. The role also includes supporting the spa reception function. Previous experience in a front-of-house spa position is ideal.

Day in the life of: Spa attendants are the frontline employees of the spa industry. They’re responsible for providing guests with an exceptional experience while they relax, unwind, and treat themselves to a variety of services. The position includes shift work, over weekdays and weekends.

Example key responsibilities:

  • Ensuring a smooth spa operation, ensuring Thermal, treatments and lunch run on time.
  • Working shifts on the spa reception desk - answering phone calls, making bookings etc.
  • Making sure the guest service satisfaction is to a high standard.
  • To work alongside other colleagues and making sure the spa operates as it should.
  • Good time management and task orientation in general – this also includes the organisation of time around guests to ensure all jobs are completed.
  • Delivery of high customer service, ensure that every guest is treated professionally and guest concerns are effectively understood.
  • Maintaining 5 star standards throughout the spa and by walking through all areas as well as ensuring that clean down, set up and care of items is adhered to and you are using any/all check sheets.
  • Report all/any maintenance requests or defects to the Senior Spa Attendant or Spa Manager where necessary.
  • Conduct inventory as well as checking product usage and stock levels.
  • Ordering of all stock in a timely manner to ensure the spa is well equipped, within the constraints of the budget.
  • Maintain and work within the health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all items are hygienically used and stored correctly.
  • Making sure changing rooms, thermal and spa lounge are up to the standards they should be and restocked throughout the day.
