Carrier Global Corporation is a leading climate and energy solutions provider. We are seeking a Service Engineer to repair and maintain diesel‑powered equipment such as pumps and generators in depot and field environments. The role is part of the Pumps & Power division.

About the role

As a Service Engineer you will focus on health and safety compliance, equipment reliability and customer service. You will work locally and travel to customer sites as required.

Responsibilities

  • Servicing, maintaining and repairing pumps, generators and diesel‑powered equipment in depot and field settings.
  • Preparing and inspecting equipment at the depot to ensure it is fully operational before deployment.
  • Carrying out major overhauls and refurbishments of end‑of‑life equipment.
  • Diagnosing faults and performing repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Collaborating with the service team, hire controller and foreman to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised working environment that meets safety and quality standards.
  • Traveling to customer sites and participating in an on‑call rota.

Qualifications & requirements

  • Mechanical experience, ideally with plant equipment, pumps, generators and diesel engines.
  • Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3, an M&E related apprenticeship or equivalent.
  • Full UK driving licence or equivalent.
