We are looking for an Environment and Sustainability Business Partner to support UK/ROI/NI operations in achieving compliance and best practice for environmental, waste and sustainability matters.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert providing advice, guidance and specialist instructions to value stream leaders.
  • Act as business partner and lead all operations on environmental, waste and sustainability matters.
  • Develop, manage and maintain Environmental Aspects and Impacts Assessments for all UK/ROI/NI operations.
  • Lead the implementation of Science Based Targets and manage all ESOS audit programmes and action plans.
  • Prepare and submit required packaging returns under the Producer Responsibility Obligations Regulations.
  • Develop an annual improvement plan, update and present progress reports on a quarterly basis, and conduct an annual EHS management review.
  • Maintain environmental & waste data and ensure all legal waste requirements are met, including certificates, licences and permits.
  • Support maintenance of certifications, accreditations and memberships.
  • Support the business external audit programme including ISO and customer audits; address identified non‑compliances.
  • Conduct internal audits, support external audits, customer and ISO audits as required.
  • Assist business operations in implementing policies, standard work instructions, etc.
  • Act as a coach for operations and support local training needs analysis with management teams.
  • Promote and review training compliance.
  • Undertake inspections and audits at Chubb and third‑party sites (clients and contractors) where necessary.
  • Support incident investigations, conduct root cause and trend analysis, report findings to senior leadership and ensure improvement programmes are implemented.
  • Identify and facilitate training programmes.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Environmental qualification equivalent to degree level, plus experience managing Environmental & Waste Management Systems.
  • Experience implementing sustainability schemes such as SBTi, carbon footprinting, carbon reduction plans, ESOS audits.
  • Preferred IEMA Membership (Practitioner).
  • Knowledge and experience of implementing and auditing QEHS Management systems certified to ISO 14001.
  • Knowledge of environmental, waste and sustainability practices and legislation in the UK.
  • Experience in the fire & security sector is an advantage.
  • Full driver’s licence.

Location & Travel

Hybrid basis; regular travel around the Midlands and/or the North West required.

Salary and Benefits

Salary: Up to £50,000.00.

DoE 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.

10% Bonus.
