Electricians & 4th Year apprentices

0800 Rewire is looking for either a 4th year apprentice or an electrician with an immediate start to join our growing team on both employed and self employed basis

0800 Rewire are a Newcastle based electrical contractor covering North East England.

We service private domestic properties and have teams completing rewires and electricians completing all manor of small works.

Salary

• Up to £20 an hour with a minimum of 40 hours – PAYE employed
• Up to £24 an hour with a minimum of 40 hours – Self employed CIS
• Company van provided in both instances

What the working week will look like:

A working week will consist of carrying out 1 domestic rewire in a team of 4 then jobbing around completing smaller works the remainder of the week

We are looking for somebody friendly, trustworthy and approachable when working with our clients, somebody with a \’can do\’ attitude.

Being reliable is a must.

Main duties will involve:

• Completing rewires in a team of 4.
• Carrying out EICRs and remedial works
• Installing EV charge points
• Fault finding
• Consumer unit upgrades
• Partial rewires – 1 or 2 circuits, any larger jobs will be carried out by our teams
• Installing additional sockets, spotlights, extractor fans etc
• General jobbing about

The role will predominantly be working alone completing small works in our customers properties throughout Northumberland, Newcastle, Sunderland, and Durham.

The ideal canditate

• must hold a full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points)
• electricians must have previous experience \’jobbing around\’
• understands the importance of housekeeping whilst working in the private domestic sector
• must hold NVQ Level 3 in electrical installation (Testing and inspection not required but advantageous)
• would have their own hand tools (power tools are provided)
• Will be able to use a tablet to complete certificates, and sign jobs off on our software (training provided for our software).
• Company van will be provided with power tools, ladders steps etc.

0800 Rewire will provide all necessary power tools and PPE.

This role is suited to somebody who has served an apprenticeship in the domestic sector.

Working hours are:
At our office 730am Monday
430pm finish each, with 4pm finish on a Friday

Jobs are usually within 30 minutes from our office in Cramlington, however any travel over 30 minutes each way is paid.
