Specialist, Operational Resiliency - Asset Management

Senior Consultant – Operational Resilience (EMEA Control Team) – Northern Trust Asset Management (NTAM)

Responsible for overseeing, reporting and executing Operational Resiliency initiatives across NTAM, including the global rollout of the Operational Resiliency Framework, identification of important business services, definition of impact tolerances, value‑chain mapping, testing and remediation.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate and drive NTAM’s response to Operational Resilience.
• Understand the global regulatory Operational Resilience landscape to support Subject Matter Experts across NTAM.
• Support ongoing review and oversight of NTAM’s adherence to the Operational Resilience Policy and Standard.
• Represent NTAM in discussions with SMEs across other Northern Trust Business Units.
• Facilitate overall maintenance of key components: Important Business Services, Impact Tolerances, Value Chain Mapping, and Scenario Testing – driving consistency across NTAM.
• Lead business‑dependency oversight; monitor risks and vulnerabilities across all NTAM services, contribute to Management Information reporting, identify issues, and track remediation.
• Design and produce resiliency metrics in support of strategy from both the NTAM and Legal Entity perspectives.
• Establish and support the resiliency governance model within NTAM.
• Monitor and analyse the impact of new products and organisational change on NTAM’s resiliency strategy.
• Engage and educate business leaders and Boards on the scope and need for operational resiliency oversight.
• Partner with business, risk, audit, legal, compliance, regulators and technology control functions to drive consistent and effective practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5–7+ years working in an Asset Management organization with a demonstrated track record of operational risk management and/or operational control/resiliency.
• Expert knowledge of operational resiliency, including disaster/business recovery, business continuity management, third‑party vendor/outsourcing, corporate risk policies and standards.
• Strong understanding of risk‑management practices and their application in financial‑services organisations, including regulatory impact on operational resiliency matters.
• Ability to drive execution through strong prioritisation skills.
• Proven track record of working across multiple business areas and functions.
