Role / Department
Private Equity Operations – a key member of the administration team supporting a variety of PE clients, delivering high‑quality service and ensuring all client KPIs are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong client relationships with the Investment Advisor and third parties, delivering premier client service and resolving complex issues within scheduled timeframes.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure delivery of client deliverables and run client‑led projects related to complex tasks.
- Own monitoring of assigned mailboxes, complete tasks assigned by management, provide basic training to new hires, support teammates, rotate tasks, and review junior work.
- Prepare and review complex accounts under various GAAP/IFRS standards, perform bookkeeping and cash management.
- Update and maintain investment and portfolio records, process purchases and disposals, record income receipts, revise quarterly valuations and manage restructuring transactions.
- Calculate call/distribution amounts, liaise with clients, investors and financial institutions, and maintain payment records.
- Complete investor reporting, including common/regular reports that incorporate quantitative data.
- Review data exported from accounting systems and file final reports for AIFMD and Solvency II reporting with regulators and investors.
- Provide tax reporting information to internal and external professionals, review data for FATCA, CRS and regional tax reporting (UK, Germany, USA).
- Ensure accounting deliverables adhere to agreed timetables, identify system and process enhancements, prioritize assignments, provide continuous feedback, and raise issues appropriately.
- Prepare and circulate accounts and tax timetables, advise on accounting issues and best practices, calculate management fees and carried interest, and update SharePoint workflows.
- Identify efficiencies and risk reduction opportunities, fully utilize technology, work with legal and compliance to keep funds compliant, and report operational issues to management.
Key Qualifications
- Holding an accounting qualification (ACA or ACCA) and familiarity with UK, US and Luxembourg GAAPs, or partial qualification with at least two years of relevant experience.
- General understanding of Guernsey company, POI, partnership laws, and ability to stay up‑to‑date with legal developments.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, confidence in direct client interaction and senior stakeholder engagement.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, capacity to set priorities and manage deadlines.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel; knowledge of Investran an advantage.
- Self‑starter, team player, flexible, able to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
- Professional judgement and a detail‑oriented self‑review approach to work.
