Our Operations groups are core to the success of the Markets business. We support a wide range of internal stakeholders alongside having significant interaction with external clients, playing a key role in the overall client experience. A role within Markets Operations means that you will have a global reach, in a supportive environment which will provide you with new experiences and development opportunities right here in Belfast’s iconic Titanic Quarter. You can play an important part in transforming and simplifying our operating model.
The primary responsibility of this role is to assist in the clearance, settlement and investigation of transactions.
What you'll do:
- Help lead and supervise a team responsible for managing post-trade activity, providing guidance on complex trade lifecycle events, exceptions, and client queries while ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
- Act as an escalation point for operational, client, and trading issues, partnering with Front Office, clients, and internal stakeholders to mitigate risk and maintain high service standards.
- Drive process improvement and operational excellence by identifying opportunities to enhance controls, increase efficiency, automate manual processes, and strengthen the overall client experience.
- Oversee the team's risk and control framework, ensuring processes, controls, and key metrics are regularly reviewed, emerging risks are identified, and issues are escalated appropriately and in a timely manner.
- Review and deliver management reporting and business insights to senior stakeholders, providing transparency on service levels, operational performance, risk items, and strategic initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory, policy, and governance requirements, promoting a strong culture of accountability, control awareness, and continuous improvement across the team.
- Coach, develop, and inspire team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment while supporting talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with Trading, Sales, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Product Control, and Operations teams to support business objectives and drive successful delivery of strategic initiatives.
