This stunning four-star hotel is centrally located within Hull, on Ferensway, minutes from the train station and St Stephens Shopping Centre. The hotel is opposite the Hull Truck Theatre and is a short stroll to the bustling downtown and marina area. This contemporary-style hotel offers a stylish stay for corporate guests and also accommodates leisure guests and family stays with its spacious and relaxing environment. The hotel boasts 165 bedrooms and a 1,000sqm ballroom for events and conferences. There is a Marco Pierre White Steakhouse and Grill offering hearty meals and a pleasurable atmosphere. Guests will enjoy relaxing with food and drinks in our lounge bar or may choose to visit our rooftop bar The Lexington for panoramic views of Hull and a handmade cocktail on the terrace.
We're looking for a reliable and detail-focused Public Area Cleaner to help create a welcoming environment for our guests and team members. This is an important role responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, presentation and appearance of public areas throughout the hotel, ensuring guests enjoy a positive experience from the moment they arrive. What You'll Be Doing
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout public areas of the hotel
- Clean and present guest-facing areas including reception, corridors, lounges, meeting rooms and public facilities (where applicable)
- Ensure public areas remain clean, safe and welcoming throughout the day
- Replenish guest supplies and consumables where required
- Respond promptly to cleaning requests and operational requirements
- Report maintenance issues, damage or health and safety concerns
- Follow cleaning schedules and company procedures
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, hygiene and company standards
- Support the wider Housekeeping team when required
- Help create a positive first impression for guests and visitors
What We're Looking For
- Previous cleaning, housekeeping or hospitality experience is desirable but not essential
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards
- Positive and reliable approach to work
