Overview
Purpose of the Role: The Health & Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies within the organisation. The role ensures a safe working environment, promotes a strong safety culture, and guarantees compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures in line with applicable legislation and regulations, in collaboration with the (Q)HSE Manager
- Ensure compliance with internal standards and external HSE requirements
- Conduct risk assessments and identify potential workplace hazards
- Develop and implement effective risk control measures and mitigation strategies
- Organise and deliver HSE training sessions and toolbox talks
- Promote awareness and engagement in HSE culture throughout the organisation
- Perform internal audits and workplace inspections to ensure compliance
- Report findings and provide actionable recommendations to the (Q)HSE Manager
- Investigate accidents and incidents, document findings, and recommend corrective actions
- Maintain incident records and provide regular reports to management
- Act as the main point of contact for HSE-related matters
- Communicate HSE updates, policies, and best practices across the organisation
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in HSE performance and processes
- Support the development of a proactive and positive safety culture

Job Requirements
- NEBOSH certification (required)
- Relevant qualification in Health & Safety or related field
- Proven experience in a similar HSE role
