Location: Aberdeen, UK
Contract: Permanent, full-time (Hybrid Remote – 2–3 days per week in the office)
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver structural integrity management projects.
- Perform hands‑on engineering assessments, including:
- In‑service analysis of fixed (topsides and jacket) and floating offshore structures (in‑place, dynamic, seismic, fatigue).
- Global ultimate strength‑based pushover analysis.
- Structural reliability analysis.
- Local topsides and jacket analysis (fire, blast, dropped object, vessel impact).
- Finite element analysis using Ansys or Abaqus.
- Provide technical assurance to discipline and project tasks.
- Provide technical leadership to the engineering team in Aberdeen.
- Assist the discipline manager in business development, tender/proposal management and team‑building activities.
- Coordinate with multi‑disciplinary teams and project management to deliver projects on budget and schedule.
- Develop structural design briefs, specifications, operating procedures and performance standards.
Qualifications
- Masters degree in civil, structural or mechanical engineering.
- Minimum 20 years of offshore structural engineering experience.
- Experience in structural integrity management preferred.
- Proficiency in SACS, Sesam and USFOS software.
- Knowledge of cross‑discipline areas (metocean, geotechnical, corrosion, materials, welding).
- Familiarity with best practices and relevant API and ISO offshore structural standards.
- Exposure to RBI strategies.
- Excellent report writing and communication skills.
- Pro‑active, organised, self‑directed; able to work independently and in a team.
- Ability to work closely with internal and external stakeholders.
- Right to work in the UK and based in Aberdeen or surrounding areas.
- Willingness to travel to site offices and offshore facilities.
