This role is accountable for service and project delivery, working with a dedicated Scrum Master to ensure smooth running and KPI compliance of the operational services and jointly manage backlog of service and project work.

  • Role Responsibilities
  • Accountable for the service delivery and the successful delivery of projects to the end customer.
  • Retains overall accountability for project outcomes (cost, schedule, scope and quality), with day-to-day management delegated to the Project Manager.
  • Ensures appropriate governance, controls and reporting are in place across services and projects.
  • Acts as the senior escalation point for delivery, risk and performance issues across both service and project domains.
  • Responsible for addressing priority conflicts and resource constraints at value stream level.
  • Ensures project dependencies are identified, managed and communicated effectively.
  • Ensures Value Stream representation at the account PI Planning sessions.
  • Owns and drives Continual Service Improvement (CSI) initiatives.
  • Manages and reports on Risks & Issues within the service area.
  • Reviews and challenges project plans, forecasts, financials and delivery risks.
  • Ensures timely and accurate status reporting across all projects.
  • Oversees financial performance and ensures cost control across the project portfolio.
  • Intervenes where necessary to unblock delivery, manage escalations or rebalance priorities.
  • Supports the Project Manager in stakeholder management at senior customer levels where required.
  • Responsible for forecasting resourcing requirements to maintain BAU service and project demand.
  • Manages the value streams P&L and is able to articulate and justify any financial variances.
  • Regularly reviews operational service and project costs to ensure effective cost control and margin performance.
  • Acts as a key stakeholder and regularly meets with Customers, the Delivery Stream Lead and the Program Lead to ensure alignment on future plans.
  • Contributes to Monthly Service Reports reviewed with the Customer during formal service review meetings.
  • Identifies new business opportunities and works with the Architect and CPs (where necessary) to qualify them.
  • Manages stakeholder relationships and supports business growth through project extensions and new opportunities.
  • Provides leadership across the value stream, setting clear direction and expectations.
  • Mentors and actively encourages skills development of team members.
  • Promotes collaboration between Service, Engineering and Project Management functions.
