- Junior Sous Chefs have a true passion for food and assist in the day-to-day management, preparation and service of all food within the hotel.
- They ensure that the highest standards of quality and service are maintained and that strict food hygiene controls are upheld in all kitchen areas.
- Ensure the smooth running of the kitchen operation.
- Assist with the management of efficient stock control & procedures.
- Conduct daily briefings and other meetings as needed to obtain optimal results.
- Control food wastage.
- Maintain the highest levels of food hygiene, health and safety.
- Support, train and develop the kitchen team.
- Monitor and compare local competitors' food operations.
