Team/Role Overview
The Reconciliation and Proofing Senior Analyst is a forward‑looking, seasoned professional who sits at the intersection of financial controls and intelligent technology. In this role, you will not only ensure the integrity and compliance of balance sheet exception reporting but also actively drive the modernization of our reconciliation ecosystem. You will leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Automation Tools, and advanced analytics to automate manual workflows, predict exception trends, and build next‑generation control frameworks.

- Exception Management & Resolution: Monitor, investigate, and resolve reporting exceptions across the end‑to‑end process. Perform classification controls and validate results to maintain reporting integrity.
- Data Analysis & Insights: Analyze exception trends, volumes, and root causes. Develop and distribute high‑quality management reports and dashboards to provide senior leadership with clear visibility into exposures and performance metrics.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with cross‑functional teams across Operations, Finance, Risk, Technology, and Business units to resolve complex issues and implement robust process improvements.
- Risk & Control Governance: Identify control deficiencies, elevate gaps to senior management, and implement appropriate procedures to mitigate risks and control losses. Maintain comprehensive documentation supporting controls and operating procedures.
- Continuous Improvement & Change Initiatives: Act as an analytical and procedural expert on "change‑the‑bank" projects. Identify opportunities to reduce expenses, optimise workflows, and implement advanced techniques.
- Leadership & Coaching: Assume informal and formal leadership roles within the team, including coaching, training, and mentoring new recruits.
What We’ll Need From You
- Advanced Analytics & Automation: Experience leveraging AI, machine learning, automation tools, and advanced analytics to improve reporting efficiency and support data‑driven decisions.
- Experience: Extensive years of relevant experience in financial services, reconciliation, balance sheet proofing, or control operations.
