Job Overview
You will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, handover, maintenance and decommissioning of generators and related equipment at customer sites, as well as performing on‑site support and upkeep at our branch location.
Responsibilities
- Deliver, install, and de‑install generators, pumps, filtration equipment and tanks.
- Carry out mechanical servicing and fault finding.
- Hand‑over equipment to customers and instruct them on correct usage.
- Assist in operational project preparation involving mechanical, electrical and diesel systems.
- Monitor parts inventory and maintain minimum stock levels.
- Provide guidance to other operation team members.
- Provide on‑site support and preventive maintenance during ongoing projects.
- Manage safe decommissioning and removal of rental equipment at the end of projects.
- Perform maintenance inspections and repairs at the fully‑equipped branch when not on customer sites.
Qualifications & Profile
- Strong electrical bias with mechanical (diesel and/or pump) experience.
- Experience in a service technician role or similar.
- Driving licence B essential.
- Experience with plant or equipment hire business desirable.
- Team player with ability to work independently and high flexibility.
- Ability to make occasional overnight trips.
