About the team and the role: As eBay continues to expand, the eBay Live team is building a high-impact Business Development organization focused on growing the marketplace through seller acquisition, partnerships, and inventory expansion. This role supports eBay Live's growth by identifying and activating high-value sellers, shaping category strategies, and strengthening the seller ecosystem. You will work closely with cross-functional partners and may lead or support junior team members, depending on level, while contributing directly to marketplace performance and long-term growth.
What you will accomplish:
- Grow eBay Live by identifying, securing, and activating high-value sellers that bring strategic relevance, operational readiness, and scalable impact.
- Drive seller performance by supporting GMV per seller, acquisition targets, and category strategies aligned with eBay Live priorities.
- Build and manage a healthy business development pipeline through accurate forecasting, reporting, and performance tracking.
- Negotiate partnership terms and collaborate with Legal to draft and finalize agreements with sellers and inventory partners.
- Use market research, competitive analysis, and industry insights to identify emerging opportunities and category trends.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to support revenue targets, investment decisions, and overall marketplace value.
- Coach and develop Business Development Associates and Sales Coordinators by using performance insights to support growth, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
