We are currently hiring for a Senior Business Analyst in our Manchester office to bridge business needs and technology delivery, shaping high-quality change across our insurance systems and processes.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Requirements and analysis: Translate complex business problems into clear, traceable requirements, user stories and specifications for internal and third-party development teams.
- Stakeholder partnership: Act as the bridge between business, IT, testers and vendors, facilitating workshops and explaining complex concepts to senior stakeholders.
- Solution challenge: Assess proposed solutions against business value, strategic fit and risk appetite while identifying process and technology improvements.
- Delivery and testing: Support change throughout the lifecycle, including sprint delivery, functional testing, UAT, training, release and transition into live support.
- Quality and governance: Champion business analysis standards, manage assigned risks and issues, and keep stakeholders updated on progress and priorities.
What We’re Looking For
- Senior BA experience: Substantial business analysis experience across the full software development lifecycle, with more than eight years desirable.
- Insurance knowledge: Strong understanding of insurance products and rating engines; exposure to policy administration or rating platforms such as Subscribe or Rulebook is advantageous.
- Agile delivery: Experience working in Agile or Scrum teams, creating epics and user stories and collaborating closely with development and QA colleagues.
- Testing capability: Hands-on experience supporting functional testing and UAT, including writing test cases, demonstrating changes and gathering stakeholder feedback.
- Technical and interpersonal skills: Excellent analytical, facilitation and communication skills, supported by basic SQL knowledge and familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman.
