Responsibilities
- Strategic partnership: Act as the primary point of contact between business units and IT & Operations, aligning technology delivery with business goals.
- Stakeholder engagement: Build and influence strong relationships with senior business leaders, ensuring alignment on priorities, strategy and outcomes.
- Demand shaping: Identify, prioritise and develop high-value business initiatives, supporting business case development and solution design.
- Service delivery oversight: Ensure optimal service levels across IT & Operations, acting as an escalation point and resolving performance or service challenges.
- Leadership & collaboration: Lead cross-functional teams, bringing together business and technical stakeholders to deliver solutions and improvements.
- Communication & reporting: Provide regular updates to senior leadership on plans, performance and operational outcomes across assigned areas.
- Innovation & insight: Monitor industry trends and recommend innovative solutions to enhance operational and business performance.
Qualifications
- Business acumen: Strong understanding of insurance operations, business processes and strategic priorities.
- Technology awareness: Knowledge of IT capabilities and how to leverage them to deliver business value.
- Stakeholder management: Proven ability to influence and build credibility with senior leaders across business and technology functions.
- Communication skills: Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-friendly language.
- Strategic thinking: Experience advising at senior level, shaping direction and influencing key decisions.
- Delivery focus: Strong programme and project management capability, with experience handling multiple priorities.
- Relationship building: Ability to establish trust and collaboration across functions in a matrix environment.
- Continuous improvement mindset: Awareness of market trends and ability to bring forward innovative ideas and solutions.
