We’re looking for an enthusiastic Senior Engineer I to join the IT Engineering team with experience across a wide spectrum of technology but who is a subject‑matter expert for Checkout’s fleet of Macs and the accompanying platform. As the expert for everything Jamf and Apple, you will craft a secure platform of managed devices while ensuring an outstanding end‑user experience. You will be expected to help build a strategy and refine standards, identify areas of improvement, and deliver creative solutions in a structured manner. The ideal candidate is self‑motivated, maintains a positive hands‑on and can‑do attitude, and thrives in an uncompromising, high‑pace, low‑politics environment.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Develop and drive standards and documentation for the continued management of the platform.
  • Bring structure to a rapidly growing estate of devices spanning multiple regions by maintaining and enforcing standardised hardware and software configurations, utilising automation, scripting and client management platforms.
  • Collaborate with IT engineering teams to build an integrated platform that is governed for compliance.
  • Provide direction and mentorship to other members of the IT Engineering team for the support of devices.
  • Engage and understand the needs of our end users to proactively contribute to creating the best end‑user experience.

What we’re looking for:

  • Excellent technical understanding of Jamf Pro / Cloud, Jamf Connect and Jamf Protect.
  • Deep understanding of Apple in the enterprise (ABM, enrollments, app purchasing).
  • Extensive experience with creating installation and packaging scripts using Jamf products.
  • Experience in managing the continual review, testing and deployment of new releases, fixes and security updates for supported platforms and applications.
  • Proficient in one or more modern scripting languages (for example: Python, Bash, Swift).
  • Demonstrable experience managing a fleet of 1000+ devices.
  • Strong understanding of security implications and identity & access management.
  • Good understanding and experience working with connected technologies, such as Intune, Azure, Okta and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to work independently, manage projects to develop and deploy solutions.
  • Good to have: Experience in deploying and/or migrating an MDM solution.
  • Knowledge of remote support technologies.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical terms in an easy to understand, non‑technical manner.
  • Work with multiple stakeholders from within the organisation on projects and tasks.
  • Experience working in a regulated industry.
