Senior Manager, Account Management – Responsibilities
- Strategic Growth: Own the long‑term roadmap for a portfolio of enterprise merchants, identifying opportunities to increase revenue. Create strategic value by integrating Checkout into core business and maintaining a 12–18 month plan.
- Payment Consulting: Act as a trusted advisor to client C‑suite, deliver compelling commercial stories, lead QBRs, and translate payment performance into win‑win scenarios for merchants and Checkout.
- Commercial Leadership: Lead complex contract negotiations, renewals, and strategic deals, crafting innovative commercial models while owning the ultimate commercial outcome.
- Value‑Based Selling: Model data‑driven decision making, dive into numbers to provide merchants with meaningful, metric‑driven insights.
- Customer Advocacy: Serve as the”voice of the merchant” internally, partnering with Product and Engineering to influence the roadmap and align various departments toward common client goals.
- Mentoring: Lead by example, mentor junior account managers, and foster a culture of continuous knowledge sharing across the Commercial team.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in B2B Account Management, Relationship Management or a commercially focused role in FinTech and/or Payments.
- Strategic problem solver with excellent project management skills.
- Deep knowledge of today’s major e‑commerce and payments technologies, leading players, and major future trends.
- Multifaceted approach, able to adapt to changing requirements while balancing multiple opportunities.
- Proven ability to work well in a fast‑paced environment, collaborating across departments and influencing stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Fluent in English (UK focus).
