Plant supervisor - FULL TRAINING GIVEN - no experience required

This is your chance to step into a key role in the construction materials industry with full support and training. We’re looking for aPlant Supervisorto join our team at Heidelberg Materials in Whatley. We will teach you everything you need to know about concrete production and plant operations.
Location:
Salary: £28,000-£30,000pa dependent on experience
Location: Tiverton, Plymouth or Taunton
Hours: 45 pw
What You’ll Be Doing:
Overseeing the day-to-day running of the concrete plant
Using computer systems to batch and dispatch concrete
Speaking with customers and coordinating deliveries
Supervising contractors and hauliers on-site
Carrying out routine maintenance and inspections
Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and Environmental standards
Keeping the site clean, safe, and well-presented
To effectively operate the batching plant to the standards required by company policy and to improve & maintain site presentation to company guidelines
To accurately batch concrete/mortar in accordance with the relevant procedures
To ensure that the plant is adequately stocked with approved materials at all times
To visually check stocks on a minimum weekly basis and verify monthly
To carry out routine maintenance and inspection for defects and record actions accordingly
