Quarry Operative – Mobile Plant
JoinHeidelberg MaterialsUK and become a key part of our quarry operations team. We’re looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Mobile plant operative to operate mobile and static plant equipment, ensuring smooth and efficient site operations.
Role Overview:
As a Quarry Operator, you’ll be responsible for operating a range of mobile and static plant machinery in a safe, efficient, and professional manner. You’ll work closely with Site Management to carry out maintenance tasks and support the main processing plant.

Key Responsibilities:
Operate mobile and static plant equipment as certified and directed by Site Management
To work as part of a team and will be expected to carry out a variety of tasks within the production process, which will include operating heavy mobile plant, such as FEL’s, Excavators, Dumpers as well as operating fully PLC controlled fixed plants and manual labour for cleaning the plant.
Perform general maintenance tasks including refueling, greasing, and cleaning
Ensure all equipment is operated economically and in line with manufacturer and company guidelines
Complete daily inspection sheets and report any defects or issues to the General Foreman
Submit near-miss reports and contribute to a culture of safety and continuous improvement
Support other site duties as required by Site Management
