We’re looking for aMechanical Fitterto join our team, supporting the maintenance and reliability of equipment used in the packaging and handling of heavy materials.
About the Role
In this role, you’ll be working with robust machinery and mechanical systems essential to the packaging and movement of heavy materials. You’ll be part of a close-knit team, but also trusted to work independently, using your initiative to keep operations running smoothly and safely.
Key Responsibilities
Perform mechanical maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repairs on heavy-duty packaging and handling equipment.
Support production by ensuring machinery is operating efficiently and safely.
Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Proactive PPM in line with specific site requirements
Maintaining the highest standards of workmanship
Target of Zero Harm
Promoting Continuous Improvement and a Positive Culture
Full Compliance with National Integrated Management System (IMS)
What You’ll Bring
Proven experience in a mechanical fitter role, ideally within a heavy industry or materials handling environment.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems.
A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
IOSH Certificate in Safety – Although this training could be provided
Relevant qualifications (e.g. Ideally NVQ Level, Apprenticeship).
