We are seeking an experienced, transformative leader to head our South West (SW) offices, which comprises of Exeter, Plymouth and Truro. This is a strategic leadership role focused on driving the success of our business in line with the RBC Wealth Management Europe Thrive 2030 strategy. You will drive meaningful business transformation, champion a progressive culture and lead the office with clarity, empathy, and vision.

You will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction and structure of the office whilst ensuring exceptional client service and fostering a collaborative, values-driven environment.
Our Business: RBC Wealth Management Europe provides comprehensive wealth management capabilities through RBC Brewin Dolphin and RBC Wealth Management to private clients, including professionals, inheritors, business owners, entrepreneurs, intermediaries and charities. We help clients meet their financial goals through investments, financial planning, trust, credit, and banking capabilities.
The Exeter, Plymouth and Truro offices form part of the RBC Brewin Dolphin office network, managing significant assets on behalf of clients. They support clients by providing bespoke discretionary investment management and wealth planning, whilst drawing on the expertise across RBC’s wider banking capabilities. They combine the best of local understanding with global scale and perspective.
What will you do?
- Set and execute the strategic direction of the WOE team, aligned with the RBC WME Thrive 2030 vision and strategy.
- Deliver sustainable growth and revenue by a relentless focus on maximizing business opportunities and target markets.
- Build and sustain a people-centred culture focused on inclusion, trust, accountability and performance.
- Act as a visible and authentic leader, supporting personal development, wellbeing and collaborative working practices.
- Cultivate a positive office culture that aligns with our values and encourages personal development.
- Lead, inspire, and develop a talented team across the whole office.
- Empower others to lead, use initiative, and take ownership and accountability.
- Promote and execute growth strategies while enhancing RBC presence in the local market.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and drive operational excellence.
- Monitor office performance, budgeting, and profitability, making strategic decisions to ensure growth.

- Extensive leadership track record in leading large wealth management teams undergoing significant change and a solid understanding of wealth management.
- Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to build a strong team to lead the office alongside you.

- A passion for driving business improvement and good culture in complex organisations.
- Experience leading diverse teams, managing through change and cultivating client trust and loyalty.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, risk management, and regulatory requirements.

Nice-to-have: Existing relationships with the business community in South West is highly desirable.
