We are looking for a Manager to join the Client Strategy & Experience (CS& E) team in RBC Wealth Management Europe (WME), based in London on a permanent basis.
About the Opportunity
The Client Strategy & Experience (CS& E) team oversees RBC Wealth Management Europe (WME)’s entire relationship with its clients. The team drives efforts across the organisation to evaluate and elevate the client experience at every point in the client journey. The key areas of focus are championing client‑centricity, driving client success, and ensuring long‑term client loyalty through a relentless focus on client experience. The CS& E team also plays a central role in supporting the planning and execution of cross‑functional strategic initiatives, leading on client‑focused strategic reviews, and contributing to change and transformational programmes across WME. The team provides structure, rigour and insights to ensure we are prioritising the right initiatives and propositions in a way that builds trusted and enduring relationships.
This role will support the CS& E agenda by working with one of the Directors in the team on various initiatives, providing data‑driven strategic insight, analytical rigour and structured problem solving. Example areas of work could include client segmentation strategies, helping to support on the shaping of the distribution agenda and identifying opportunities to enhance the client and adviser experience across the business. Work may also include support for other members of the CS& E team where required. The role is expected to interact regularly with senior stakeholders across WME’s client‑facing business areas and channels, and support on any other relevant strategic planning activities. RBC’s expectation is that all employees and contractors will work in the office with some flexibility to work up to 1 day per week remotely, depending on working arrangements.
What will you do?
- Support the delivery of CS& E team strategic initiatives across various areas of RBC WME, including RBC Brewin Dolphin, RBC Private Wealth, RBC Private Client Fiduciary Services (PCFS), Distribution, Intermediaries, Client Advice, Marketing and Change.
- Contribute to strategic projects through structured problem‑solving, quantitative analysis and the development of executive‑ready recommendations, supporting the execution of projects and initiatives where required.
- Conduct market sizing, client needs analysis, competitor benchmarking and other ad‑hoc research and analysis to inform proposition development, strategic reviews, business case creation and strategic planning.
- Take ownership of specific workstreams and deliverables within strategic initiatives, ensuring high‑quality output and well‑managed stakeholder engagement.
- Co‑ordinate meetings and committees as required, including topic/agenda planning, taking minutes and following‑up on actions.
- Support on the ongoing strategic client segmentation for RBC WME, supporting the team as the central conduit for client MI and insight to ensure segmentation is consistently embedded in RBC WME’s strategy planning and execution.
- Contribute to the definition of OKRs for relevant strategic initiatives and provide structured progress updates to the Chief of Staff (CoS) team and other senior stakeholders.
- Support on ExCo and other governance committee submissions, preparing high‑quality reporting, insights and materials on CS& E initiatives and progress updates across relevant forums (where required).
- Work collaboratively across WME’s client‑facing teams (CFT) to ensure client strategy translates into tangible improvements for clients, advisers and the business.
What do you need to succeed?
Must‑have
- Proven experience in a similar strategic/strategy role. This would suit someone with previous experience in financial services, (ideally at least 3 years), who is eager to learn and broaden their knowledge base.
- Degree educated or equivalent.
- Well organised and focused, able to multi‑task when needed and respond to revised priority setting.
- Able to act autonomously, take initiative, suggest solutions and problem solve.
- Empathetic and able to communicate with colleagues across all levels and functions.
- Collaborative and inclusive approach to work, with values aligned to those of RBC.
- Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
