We have an exciting opportunity to join our team in Edinburgh or Birmingham as Business Development Sales Support on a permanent basis. This role involves providing proactive relationship management and assistance to the Head of Nationals & Networks and Key Account Managers to enhance growth within the Intermediary market.
What will you do?
- Proactively make inbound and outbound calls, send emails, manage outbound campaigns, and handle inbound inquiries from Advisers on a National level.
- Ensure all key Adviser data and activity are captured and updated on our internal systems.
- Act as liaison between BDMs, Advisers, and Investment Managers.
- Attend and schedule Adviser meetings with the Head of Nats/Nets, Key Account Manager & BDMs, ensuring all documentation is prepared in advance.
- Provide the Head of Nationals & Networks & Key Account Manager with national firm contact data for distribution.
- Undertake regular strategy meetings to plan, discuss, and organize activities.
- Coordinate with Compliance to ensure presentations are completed and available when needed.
- Liaise with marketing and the Intermediary Event Coordinator for national & network events.
- Distribute regular communications to BDMs & Advisers.
- Engage in ad-hoc project work as required.
- Follow up on new business calls and literature requests to generate leads and understand our client base.
- Identify new sales opportunities and pass them to the Sales team.
- Support new National IFA relationships, account opening, and ongoing servicing.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Proven experience in a sales team and good knowledge of the Adviser market.
- Knowledge of current regulatory and financial issues.
- Understanding of compliance and risk.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
Nice-to-have
- Experience with Financial Clarity and FE Analytics (or similar).
- Good knowledge of RBC BD investment propositions.
