Job Description What is the opportunity? Physical safety and security are essential to the protection of RBC employees, clients, assets, operations, and facilities from a wide range of threats. The Director, Europe and APAC Region Corporate Physical Security Officer (CPSO) is responsible for providing vision and strategic direction, and is accountable for the strategy development and operations of the physical security and protection program in the Europe and APAC Regions. The CPSO oversees the regional strategic plan and the execution of the physical security and protection strategy. What will you do? Ensure the safety of employees, board members, clients, contractors, third parties, assets (including information assets), operations, and facilities from potential threats. Enable secure, efficient, and cost-effective business operations in line with RBC’s risk appetite and regulatory requirements. Develop and implement a comprehensive Physical Security Protection Strategy, including policies and processes that promote consistent and effective security practices while minimizing risks and protecting RBC’s systems and personnel. Build a diverse and capable workforce, integrating performance management, employee development, talent management, succession planning, rewards, recognition, and diversity into daily management practices. Communicate responsibilities related to physical assets, information, and safety of RBC personnel and premises. What do you need to succeed? Must-Have: Strong knowledge of strategy, management, analytics, enterprise applications, data/information management, and information delivery. Proven experience in large organizations in physical or cyber security. Experience managing financials, budgets, and forecasting cycles. Undergraduate Degree, MBA, or bachelor’s degree in computer engineering/science (or equivalent). Nice to have: Ability to develop strong, credible relationships. Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills. What is in it for you?
