Who are Greenpixie?
Greenpixie is a climate-tech company focused on measuring and reducing the environmental impact of cloud computing. We build software that helps organisations understand and reduce their cloud emissions. Our products are technically complex and data-heavy, which makes clarity, usability, and strong product thinking critical.
What are we looking for?
We are hiring a Senior Product Engineer with a strong frontend focus and full-stack capability. This is a product-minded engineering role with real ownership. You will take features from rough concepts through to production, with a particular focus on building high-quality, intuitive user experiences. You will define how the frontend is structured, how products feel to use, and how the team approaches building user-facing features. You will act as a key technical and product voice, working closely with leadership, engineering, and data teams.
What will you be doing?
- Own and define the frontend architecture across a variety of products
- Set standards for UI quality, interaction design, and performance
- Act as the go-to expert for frontend and UX decisions
- Design and build complex product features end-to-end
- Translate highly technical data into intuitive product experiences
- Shape product direction in collaboration with founders and the wider team
- Establish and evolve a design system and component architecture
- Improve development workflows, including use of AI tooling
- Contribute across the stack (React / Next.js + Python)
- Guide technical decisions without formal line management
- Raise the bar across engineering through example and feedback
- Document decisions clearly and pragmatically
AI development tooling such as Claude Code and Cursor is encouraged. Our technical tests will assess candidates both with and without AI support.
What skills are we looking for?
Essential
- Deep experience building and scaling full-stack systems with React / Next.js & Python
- Proven experience owning frontend architecture or major product surfaces
- Strong full-stack capability (APIs, backend systems, ideally Python)
- Exceptional product and UX judgement
- Experience designing systems and interfaces from first principles
- Ability to operate as a technical leader without formal authority
- Strong communication and decision-making skills
- Clear communication and a product-focused mindset
Nice to have
- Backend experience using Python (FastAPI, Flask, or similar)
- Experience defining or scaling a design system
- Experience with AWS, Terraform, or modern cloud infrastructure
- Experience in data-heavy or complex B2B products
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows
- Interest in sustainability and reducing the environmental impact of cloud computing
We are a fast-growing start-up with a lot of moving parts. We want someone comfortable working independently, making decisions, and collaborating closely with others.
What We Offer?
- Flexible working hours with hybrid office space in Central London.
- The opportunity to contribute to a meaningful project with a real-world impact.
- Working with a fun, passionate team in a company that is growing quickly.
- Exposure to cutting-edge cloud technologies and large-scale data systems.
- Opportunities to attend global conferences in the tech and sustainability sectors (even speaking opportunities if that floats your boat!).
- Build up an extra day of holiday for every year you spend with us.
- 2 weeks global remote working allowance.
- Competitive salary package.
- Share options scheme.
How to Apply:
If you want to own meaningful product surfaces, shape how things are built, and work on real-world climate impact, weβd love to hear from you. Please send your details to careers@greenpixie.com.
