About the role
Do you have a strong desire to see students succeed? If so, we want to hear from you! We are seeking a Pastoral Tutor to improve the learner experience and contribute to the positive progression of all learners.
Responsibilities
- Track and monitor the progress of a specific group of Further Education learners.
- Conduct 1:1 meetings with learners.
- Deliver College group tutorial programmes.
- Liaise with members of staff and parents/guardians regarding learner progress.
- Signpost learners to wider support as needed.
- Support the College Safeguarding team, including supporting a caseload of students.
Qualifications
- Experience delivering student workshops or tutorials to a diverse range of students.
- Experience supporting student progress on a 1:1 basis.
- Some experience of youth and community work, and a clear understanding of the needs of students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A Level 3 qualification in Youth & Community, Education, Psychology, Sociology or Health & Social Care is an advantage.
- Experience of careers advice and guidance is desirable.
