Here at Merton College, we are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Lecturer in Business to deliver outstanding quality teaching, learning, assessment and tutorial support to students from levels 1-3.
Reporting to the Curriculum Manager, you will create and implement teaching and learning using a range of effective learning support material to ensure engaging lessons. You will actively contribute to the school community by identifying opportunities for employment and skills focused study for learners and will arrange, coordinate and supervise practical work, events and assessment projects.
As our Lecturer, we would like you to hold a degree or relevant professional qualification in an appropriate subject, hold a teaching qualification (or willing to work towards) and have excellent teaching skills in Business levels 1-3, preferably in a FE College or School. You will have a successful track record of tutoring and supporting learners from levels 1-3 and strong working knowledge of current BTEC Business framework. We would particularly like to hear from candidates who have relevant industry experience in Business.
IT literate with strong communication and interpersonal skills, you will be able to work under pressure and to strict validating body deadlines. You will have effective presentation and delivery skills and will be comfortable presenting to a variety of audiences.
The successful candidate will be eligible for any increase in salary as a consequence of the annual cost of living review that will be implemented in the new academic year.
