South Thames College, Wandsworth is looking to appoint an experienced Business Lecturer to deliver outstanding quality teaching, learning, assessment and tutorial support to students to maximise achievement and continuous improvement.
You’ll develop, initiate, promote and sustain innovative and quality improvement intervention strategies and play a key role in supporting the development of the curriculum with employer engagement and learner skills development.
As our Lecturer, you’ll hold a degree or relevant professional qualification in an appropriate subject and a recognised teaching qualification or be willing to work towards. You’ll have recent experience teaching Business within a Further Education setting and a strong understanding of current FE curriculum frameworks and quality standards.
You’ll be skilled in planning and delivering high-quality, engaging lessons, with the ability to assess, monitor and support student progress effectively. Strong classroom management skills are essential, alongside the ability to motivate and inspire diverse learners and adapt teaching approaches to meet a wide range of learning needs. Highly organised and proactive, you’ll be able to prioritise workloads effectively and use your initiative when required. You’ll also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling you to build positive relationships and communicate effectively in both group and one-to-one settings.
The successful candidate will be eligible for any increase in salary as a consequence of the annual cost of living review that will be implemented in the new academic year. Closing date for the return of completed applications is 2nd July 2026.
