The School of Creative Industries at Kingston College is seeking a dynamic, proactive, highly organised lecturer to deliver exciting and industry relevant skills and knowledge to students on our popular practical vocational courses from Level 1 to Level 3.

You will teach a range of specialist Art & Design skills, techniques and processes, with a specialism in digital design including being highly efficient in Photoshop and Illustrator and how this can be applied to the visual arts. You will have a broad understanding of past, current and future of the creative industries sector and be able to support students in developing higher specialist level skills and understanding.

You will produce schemes of work, monitor their delivery, supervise assessment, provide internal verification and, if necessary, liaise with external verifiers/moderators.

As our Lecturer, you will hold a teaching qualification (or be willing to work towards) and be recognised as a good or outstanding teacher. A degree or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant area of Art & Design is essential as is a thorough understanding of evidence-based teaching, learning and assessment and the ability to reflect on your practice and implement innovative approaches.

You will have experience in effectively monitoring and supporting learners to achieve or exceed their potential, with a strong commitment to personalised learning, equality and diversity and safeguarding. You will have strong industry knowledge to support work experience and industry placements that are integral to the Study Programme offer.

The benefits package includes generous annual leave of 40 days plus up to 8 additional days over Christmas/New Year as well as an additional 5 days Wellbeing leave to enhance employees’ physical and mental health.
