Kingston College is looking for an Examinations Officer – someone to be responsible for executing day-to-day exam and assessment tasks across a wide range of qualifications, following the exam year calendar from registration and exam registration through to results. You will maintain a thorough and up-to-date understanding of JCQ and other awarding body requirements, ensuring full compliance with all regulations, deadlines, processes, procedures, and fees. Your role will involve interpreting and sharing relevant information with colleagues and ensuring that all exam activities are carried out accurately and efficiently. Working closely with curriculum staff, awarding bodies, and other stakeholders, you will coordinate key processes such as registrations, exam entries, access arrangements, achievement claims, results, and certification. You will also plan and manage all types of exams, including preparing timetables, booking rooms, and arranging invigilators and other necessary support.
Responsibilities

- Interpreting and sharing relevant information with colleagues and ensuring that all exam activities are carried out accurately and efficiently.
- Working closely with curriculum staff, awarding bodies, and other stakeholders to coordinate key processes such as registrations, exam entries, access arrangements, achievement claims, results, and certification.
- Planning and managing all types of exams, including preparing timetables, booking rooms, and arranging invigilators and other necessary support.
Qualifications
- Experience in general administration, ability to demonstrate good organisational skills and to produce data and reports.
- Experience of working and complying with centrally established procedures and externally imposed regulations, ideally in examination administration.
- Able to work proactively, prioritise and manage workload, meet deadlines and take responsibility for specific areas of work both as an individual and within a team.
- Skills in IT (MS Office), experience with databases and spreadsheet applications, with a willingness to build on these.
- Strong communicator, excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, able to communicate effectively at all levels.
