The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.
This role is funded for the 2026/27 academic year onwards; the successful candidate is not expected to commence before August 2026.
Responsibilities
- You’ll carry out the maintenance of the workshops and equipment for Construction.
- Maintain stock levels and inventory (both equipment and materials).
- Assist in stock control.
- Manage deliveries of Construction equipment and consumables.
- Support academic staff and other technician staff in the stores and workshops.
Qualifications
- Hold a vocational or trade qualification at Level 2 or above in Electrical Installation, Plumbing, Multi-skills or a related construction discipline.
- Have experience providing technical support within a Construction or FE learning environment and a sound working knowledge of construction processes, tools and workshop environments.
- Possess a strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices.
- Be able to set up, maintain and monitor administrative and technical support systems.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach, use initiative, follow instructions, contribute to continuous improvement, and be skilled in prioritising workloads, meeting deadlines and working under pressure.
