The School of Creative and Commercial Industries at Carshalton College is seeking an experienced Curriculum Manager to provide strategic leadership for the School and wider operational support across the College. As a member of the College Management Group (CMG), you will work collaboratively with colleagues to help deliver the College’s key priorities and objectives.

The Curriculum Manager will support the Head of School and wider management team in implementing and communicating College policies and procedures. This includes overseeing target setting, progressing review calendars and ensuring that staff consistently deliver high-quality outcomes in line with agreed standards and expectations.

A key focus of the role will be driving improvement across all programmes within the School. This includes raising achievement and securing high grades, enhancing the quality of teaching, learning and assessment and effectively monitoring and supporting teaching staff. The successful candidate will ensure all students have the opportunity to develop their employability skills through a period of work experience and other work-related learning, enrichment and activities and supporting them with progression to Higher Education.

We would like our Curriculum Manager to hold a degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject, alongside a teaching qualification and a management qualification, or a willingness to work towards these. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading and improving high-quality curriculum provision, with strong knowledge of Creative Arts and Sports curriculums and a clear understanding of current and impending national changes. You will also demonstrate success in curriculum development and growth.

With proven leadership and management experience in curriculum and staff management, you will possess an excellent understanding of the work of Ofsted, the OfS, awarding bodies and other relevant regulators. You will also have a strong knowledge of Government policy and an awareness of future developments affecting the curriculum, particularly in relation to the needs of the local and regional economy.
